Dachau is located 20 kilometers west of Munich at the Amper River. The town was erected on a 480 meter high hill and has today over 35,000 inhabitants. Dachau has more to offer then the former concentration camp. Here you find an old city centre with pretty well-restored houses and a beautiful castle with a breathtaking view over the city and to Munich.

Nice Dachau page,I too found Dachau to be a lovely town,aside from mans inhumanity to man.I shall visit this town again in December.

It's a shame that Dachau will be forever tarnished by the concentration camp. There should be more page like this which show the REAL Dachau.
