Second only to Montana, New Mexico is the landscape and culture I treasure most. I have travelled throught New Mex many-many times, and worked in the mountains north of Taos in 1983. The mountains, the high desert, White Sands, the Rio Grande...it is truly the "Land of Enchantment," mountains, though higher in altitude, not as dramatic as those I call home in Montana...in New Mexico, the geography and its components of culture and light sneek up on you and commit a serene beauty of contrast to the seeing heart. |
