Fancying a romantic break away in Paris with my lover I decided to book a cheap break away. I managed to get flights with bmibaby from Belfast to East Midlands and then East Midlands to Paris and booked a "double" room in a youth hostel for five nights... It was certainly a bargain - at a total cost of 280Eur for the two of us!
We flew for about 75 euros each - that was two return flights EACH for that price - and accomodation at Auberge International des Jeunes was 13 Euro per night per person.
We found a fantastic restaurant in the Latin Quarter - Le Grand Bistrot - which served a traditional french cuisine - and if you ate before 19h30, "le menu" started at just 8eur75! |
