Pense que esta era una ciudad pequenia y no lo es. Austin es bastante grande. Rente un auto y recorri una parte. Desde la interestatal 35 se ve el capitolio de Texas a corta distancia y decidi llegar al lugar. Es muy grande, el mas grande de los capitolios de todos los estados de EU. Lo rodean unos agradables jardines que se pueden recorrer de dia e incluso a cualquier hora de la noche. Tambien estuve ahi a medianoche y la iluminacion del edifico es muy buena.

Por dentro es parecido a otros capitolios que he visitado (ver mis paginas sobre Cheyenne, Denver y Albuquerque). Parecen museos, muy elegantes. Incluso se pueden ver las camaras donde hay sesiones. Cuando yo fui no habia.

Se me poncho una llanta y un oficial de policia fue muy amable y me ayudo. Incluso me presto su celular para comunicarme con la compania.

Visite en Austin a unos amigos de Queretaro que se mudaron alli. Pasamos un buen rato, no podian creer que habia ido a visitarlos. Espero ir de nuevo en otra ocasion.

I thought this was a little city and it is not. Austin is big enough. I rented a car and drove some parts. From interstate 35 you can see the Texas capitol at short distance and so I decided to get there. It's very big, the biggest of capitols of all states of the US. It's surrounded by nice gardens, you can stroll by them all day long and even at any hour by night. I also was there at midnight and the building lights are very good.

Inside it is very similar to other capitols I have visited (see my pages on Cheyenne, Denver and Albuquerque). They look like museums, very elegant. You can even see the chamber where sesions took place. When I went there were none.

I got a flat tire and a police officer was very nice and helped me. He even lent me his cell phone to get in touch with the company.

In Austin I visited some friends from Queretaro who moved there. We had a good time, they couldn't believe I went to visit them. I hope to go again sometime.
