Luggage And Bags: Light haversack to carry just the bare neccessities, like camera, umbrella, money etc. You might walk a lot so don't carry something too heavy that will make you feel uncomfy. Hold on to your bags wherever you go as they might get pinched, as in every other big city...
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure you take an anorak/jacket because it tends to shower every now and again without warning.
I would recommend you wear comfortable boots, not sandals (unless it's really hot in the summer), to keep out the rain and cold.
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Nothing in particular
Photo Equipment: If you ever run out of photo equipment, don't worry, you find shops all over the place selling films, batteries, tapes and so on...
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: None. This is a city!
