  • Gothic architecture. Rose windows of stained glass... the guardians of grand cathedrals, the Gargoyles, stand proudly at the top of the cathedral looking over the city... Notre Dame cathedral is more than 700 years old (completed in 1250), and is worth looking at..!

  • Photo taken from on top of the ferris wheel. View right ahead of The Louvre museum, on the left you can see Rue de Rivoli, and below the Tuileries garden..
It's a pleasant ride and a fun way to see Paris!

  • Brilliant views from the very top on a clear day. You can reach the top by stairs or by lift... the higher you go, the more you pay, costs around 45FF to go to the 2nd floor i believe.. There are 3 floors in all.. Don't forget your cameras...

  • Splendid views, notice a flame burning below the Arc de Triomphe where a tomb lies of an anonymous soldier. If you really want to go to the top, the only way up is by climbing loads of winding stairs...so be prepared, there is only a lift available for disabled people. And go up on a clear day, don't want you climbing all those stairs to look at clouds and fog :)

  • Built in the 1800's, the architecture is impressive, and is one of the largest theatres in Europe.. You pay a low price to enter, and can go round most of the theatre.. and you are allowed to take photographs.
In the same area you can find 2 massive department stores, La Fayette and Printemps, here you can find all the designer labels and they are great just to look around and shop if you're feeling rich :P

  • It's a remarkable museum, which boasts paintings by the impressionists and incredible sculptures by Rodin.
Like the Louvre, you need ample time to see all of this museum properly, so take this into consideration when planning your visit to Musee d'Orsay.

Montmartre / Sacré Coeur: Sacre Coeur Church

  • A wonderful church situated on top of the butte of Montmartre, seen from almost anywhere in Paris. The views are impressive, and it is said that you can see as far as 30km on a clear day! You may get there by either climbing loads of stairs or taking a cable railway thing which gets you up the hill in seconds.
Once you are visiting Montmartre, be sure to visit Place du Tetre, it's a place where artists, street entertainers and buskers can be found here, there will also usually be a 'market' with lots of people selling paintings and books... You won't be disappointed...!!
