The Plaza: If you have money to burn Compare Rates
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • If you want to pretend you are famous, stay here. Luxurious in everyway, this hotel is way out of my price range, but I love the architecture.

The Waldorf Astoria: Posh in NYC Compare Rates
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Ok, I've never stayed here either, but it being one of the most famous hotels in the world, I don't think you'll have a bad night.

Unique Qualities: The orignial Waldorf-Astoria hotel was at the site of the Empire State Building. It started as family fued. It started as two seperate hotels next door to each other: the Waldorf Hotel owned by William Waldorf Astor and Astoria Hotel owned by Catherine Astor. The two hotels were later joined and connected by a bridge.

When the Empire State Building scheduled to be built, the hotel, now one, moved uptown.
