Sevastopol's Area also called "The Big Sevastopol" because near the most largest city of Crimea (Sevastopol is larger than crimean capital Simferopol and have population around 350'000 citizens) are also located few smaller towns like Balaklava (the Bay of Balaklava is a nice hideout for ships), Inkerman and Kacha (there lands large aircrafts loaded with presidents of Ukraine and Russia when they arrive to the international summits at Yalta, Crimea).
Sevastopol is located at the rare place of Crimea where mountains (Yalta, Alushta) at east goes right into plains into west (Evpatoria). Sevastopol bay (also called Akhtiar Bay) is a place for russian and ukranian fleets. Whole the town is full of monuments, memorials, tombstones, statues. At the times of World War II Sevastopol was almost leveled to earth by fascists troops, bombing and attacks, the town was restored by an order of Stalin to the original pre-war state.
Reasons to visit Sevastopol: sightseeings, mountains, seashores, russian military history, old greek ruins of Khersonesus.
