I recommend Rumiana Surceva, who's a friendly travelagent.
She helped me with a guestroom at a very affordable price: 15 lv (7,6 euro)
in the centre, close to the busstation;
Besides providing a room she offered access to her library with intresting books in 6 languages. As her friend is a Dutch artist, it adds some intresting note to your visit.
