I've worked in Reading / Heckfield Racal training center for 6 months (1988). The school had a very big garden (land) with a pond and a forest. Wild goose were coming from Canada there and breed. Rabbits, lots of rabbits played freely on the grass near the bush border. I even saw a newly born deer and touched it one morning... I think now that this place was a paradise on earth(!) Away from dense population, I passed my after work time in drawing sketches and tasting beer at the surrounding bars... Kind of "still life" mood. Later, I heard that Racal closed this place... what a pity ! Could be used as a Hotel... I'll tell more from "1988 Reading" later when I find time. |
