Not only a Hotel and Casino but possibly the best viewing point in Las Vegas. Apparently the tallest builiding in the western U.S. Try visiting the top in both the day and night for two entirely different views. If you think just visiting the top is not quite daring enough there are two rides up there too - what would be a fairly tame roller coaster where it not so high up and also the Big Shot - just make sure you eat AFTER the rides...

Yep thats right - the Hotels! Its not many resorts that you would say some of the attractions are the hotels themselves. Apart from visually being interesting, for instance bringing Paris, Venice or New York to the strip, most have attractions in there own right too. Here is a quick list - Bellagio - fountain Caesars - Circus Circus - Adventuredome Luxor - MGM Grand - Grand Adventures The Mirage - Volcano New York-New York - Manhattan Express Stratosphere - Treasure Island - Battle for Buccaneer Bay

Grand Canyon National Park - it seems strange calling something a 5 hour drive away from Vegas one of its must see activities. The local tourist brochures certainly seem to think it a local attraction! As a visitor from the UK the Grand Canyon was a great add on to Vegas - if you live in the States there is no exscuse not to go there in its own right. See my Grand Canyon notes for more info.
