Just got back from a week snowboarding in Solden. Well what can I say, we were the only 3 English to be dumped off our coach as the others from our flight where heading to Obergurgl. The place seemed to be mostly filled with German's and Dutch with a sprinkling of other nationalities too (a few Austrians I dare say!).

We had been told not to expect a typically charming Austrian village and this was true. However, despite being basically built down the length of a main road (and river), Solden really is pretty nice.

We got good snow and great apres and nightlife - you can?t ask for anymore than that!
