An hidden jewel you can't lose, one of the most romantic building of this city...
Go to Campo Manin, at the centre of the square look for a yellow sign and follow it... you will arrive in a small street ("Corte Contarini del Bovolo") and you will find this marvellous building, with the great winding staircase. It has a Renaissaince aspect with some Byzantine particular.
This building is open from 10am to 4 pm only on saturday and sunday. From above, you can see a magnificent view of San Marco's Church. The entrance fee is 3 euro.

This is the impressive view you have if you go upstair the Scala Contarini del Bovolo. The entrance fee is only 3 euro and if it is a sunny day I suggest to go up because this is one of the most beautiful panorama you can see in Venice!

Off The Beaten Path: The most crooked door in Venice

Venice is all quite crooked, but this door is amazing! In "San Polo" Sestriere, not far from Rialto Bridge, you can find this funny place...
The right (almost it) address of this door is San Polo, 963/A (Campiello Sansone if I'm not in mistake)

Probably one of the most romantic points in Venice. I absolutely love this place, far from tourists traffic and such amazing.
To arrive here you have to leave the "Strada Nova" ( New Street) and search for Campiello S.M.Nova... it is really great, specially in the night...

This is a view of the front of S.ta Maria dei Miracoli's Church. There is a curious anecdote about the name of this small church (Our Lady of the Miracles). It seems - by a legend - that here once upon a time a miraculous image of the Madonna, and with the money collected they built this small jewel.

The little square where is placed the Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli is a must, in my opionion. A very romantic place where it was also played an italian movie, "Pane e Tulipani" that he had a good success in the cinema season 2000.

Another beautiful campo (not far from Fondamenta Nuove) where there are many interesting monuments and places. The church of Saints John and Paul (here once upon a time the old cementery), the School of Saint Mark (now is the main hospital, actually the front is in restoration) and the equestrian monument to Colleoni. This beautiful campo was - as San Marco's Square - the most representive in Serenissima Republic times...

Campos: Equestrian Monument to Colleoni

Actually in restoration, this beautiful monument made by Andrea Verrocchio is dedicated to Bartolomeo Colleoni, a leader from Bergamo who worked for Venice and who left - at his death - money to have this monument. The Venice Republic chosed Verrocchio to do this work, but he died before he finished it (1428) and was terminated by Alessandro Leopardi.

You can see it also from the Academia's Bridge (on the Madonna della Salute side, on the right, it's easy to see it).
This house is very beautiful, maybe one of the most beautiful palaces on the Grand Canal, but if it is quite famous is because of the negative influence that gives to his customers or owners. In fact, lot of (famous or not) people that owned this house lost their life in tragical events. The last one was Raoul Gardini that killed himself after being involved in a financial scandal... but the list is very long!
You can't visit it, but if you are interested this house is to sell... Man advised... :)
