I moved to Omaha a few months ago from Chicago. I was warned that it would not be very interesting (compared to Chicago I guess), but I do believe that an open mind is so essential to a traveler. It is important not to have preconcieved notions and not be too quick to judge, as every place, no matter how 'uninteresting' it may seem on the surface, has a lot to offer.

Omaha is part of the real midwest. It is a big town, surrounded by cornfields and cow pastures. One senses a quiet beauty as one drives through miles of golden corn in the fall, and you may never see another person!

Omahans are very friendly and love to strike up a conversation. I'll have pictures as soon as I get my scanner to work!
