WE loved this country. It is beautiful and the people are awesome. Lots of markets and hospitality. They also have all the modern conveniences and resturants. You definitely feel safe. There are plenty of guards everywhere. It is sooo hot during the day but cools off nicely at night. The food is wonderful. Do not drink the water though. I drank a little when I brushed my teeth and got deathly sick (or so I felt like it.) Visit all the volcanoes and black sand beaches. Don't take public transportation it's way too dangerous.
