"Ey up duck", aaaahhh Sheffield folk, can't beat them there bonkers!
Anyone who calls a grown man , 'duck' and 'love'..has to be pretty groovy, especially as it can quite easily be the vocab of a 6'2' brickie to his mate...'yep, I rest my case, bonkers!
Us 'Sheffuld' folk are also really warm, honest, approachable, no rush you when you ask a question type of people, but instead the, stay here while I describe that route to you in 283 different ways, it will only take an hour :-) the true salt of the earth'..
Sheffield has few airs and graces, we are (yes I was born here), 'say it like it is', 'talk to strangers about 'nowt' much', type of folk, who will bend over backwards to help..(generally), or bend forward and 'nut' you if you are a cheeky devil;-)

In truth, when I was growing up, I hated elements of Sheffield, I found it a fairly bigoted and narrow minded place, but, you know what, it has grown up a lot and there is a distinct melting pot vibe that quite simply wasn't there, 'when I were a lass'.
