Friedersdorf Travel Guide: 13 reviews and 25 photos

Hhm, where to start? I don't seriously consider Friedersdorf a "must see", but I happen to know it well *grin*, because I lived here for many years. So I'm a little prejudiced and even though it does not really have "sights" and "must see's" I felt responsible to tell the world about it *giggle*.
It's one of those places that you pass through on your way to other vacation spots *g*

A reform and a new name

I think it was last year when someone decided that it is cheaper to make one bigger community out of all the small villages. So the previously seperate villages Friedersdorf, Bindow, Blossin, Dannenreich, Gussow, Dolgenbrodt, Graebendorf, Kolberg, Prieros, Streganz and Wolzig were joined together to the now bigger community "Gemeinde Heidesee" which has now circa 6.700 inhabitants. Not all of the little villages agreed and fought against it, but without success. Saving administrative costs was one reason given for the 'merger'. No word yet, if that goal was achieved.

Pros and Cons

Pros:quite place to live, close to Berlin, nice area with many lakes
Cons:NO nightlife, entertainment, restaurants or the like

Friedersdorf looks like a cool town!! To bad the old church was torn down!
