It's been quite a long time since I wanted to go to this city being know all over the wold as a place of total freedom. As it usually happens with me, the decision to go was made very quickly and without long preparations.
We left home town full of sunshine and warmth, and landed in Dusseldorf airport being followed by a huge cloud and thunderstorm. The temperature was lower than back home at least 6 or 8 degrees. Unfortunately such weather and temperature accompanied us almost for the whole stay in the Netherlands.
From Germany a quick and comfortable ICE train got us to Amsterdam Centraal Station, and here we were! The fabled city wlecomed us with chilly wind and hustle and bustle of Damrak. We had a long day ahead (coz we arrived in the morning), thus we decide to start our wandering...

Thank you for Queens day information :) I luckily and without knowing it in advance planned a trip to Amsterdam between 29th Apr to 2nd May. I might come with some questions, if I can just imagine those :) (Oh, difficult to imagine: One million people on streets).
