It's a fishing village somewhere on the way between Marmaris and Fethie, near the big lake (sorry, can't recollect the name). Nothing special in the village itself but it's famouse for a series of elaborate rock tombs which are cut into the faces of cliffs. One of these is unfinished, revealing which parts of the tomb faces were carved first. Shards inside date these tombs to the 4th century BC and some were used by the Romans. |
