One of the best preserved ancient Greek towns. A lot to see and explore. It is really a must. It has the biggest theatre (for 25,000 people), marble pavements are still in good condition, Celcius Library has gorgeus statues of Greek Goddes and the ceiling deserves your special attention. Funny thing to look at - an ancient public toilet. Antonio temple, Agora, etc., etc. Tomb of the Seven Sleepers is a bit aside, I've been there but if you're limited in time and can't visit it, don't worry, having seen Ephesus, you've seen the best! |
