Sauzier Waterfalls, located on the western side of Mahe Island near Port Glaud..not too many visitors know about it and it is a beautiful walk...you have to walk into the 'jungle' past a bunch of Creole homes which is very interesting to see. When you get to the last home, there is a little animal farm which is neat and there are 2 very cute little bats hanging upside down....people do eat bat in the Seychelles, and we tried it, but I tried to politely put my one mouthful of it into my napkin without anyone noticing, and I wouldn't try it again especially after seeing these cute bats..but anyway..at this house where you have the small animal farm, you have to sign your name in a book and pay about $2 or so...definitely worth it. When you get to the falls, it is simply lush and beautiful. If you go there, look for the pair of sunglasses that I lost while jumping from one rock to another....

margaret8 Wed Nov 4, 2009 23:49 UTC Thank you for the insight! What are the "not-to-miss" places to see for four people who are adventurous but not able to spend a ton of money? I really appreciate your reply. I have my heart set on these beautiful islands as a future trip! | gilesb5 Tue Oct 16, 2007 21:08 UTC good night life in mahe if you look pirates arms victoria Barrel night club ( take a suitable weapon ) or Katulo | Aig Tue Sep 5, 2006 15:47 UTC It's nice beaches and tropical sun. Not much apart from this. On islands corralls can make it painful, if you try to swim. Not easy, if possible at all, to find decent food and nightlife very limited, if at all. But, yes, I liked it too ...:))) | tahoesasha Fri Jan 6, 2006 07:32 UTC likewise here, Maldives and Moorea top the list, but now Seychelles (and Thailand!!) beckon...wonderful page, you are an asset to VT! |
