I grew up on and around the Monterey Peninsula. It's an area of incredible natural beauty, but when you grow up there, I don't think that's something you realize. Many young people after having finished high school leave to go elsewhere--many to the Silicon Valley or San Francisco. I instead headed to LA and a million other places after that. Only now when I go back to visit my family do I realize what a great place it is.
There's alot to offer any visitor who comes here. The city is full of history, beautiful architecture, amazing coastal scenery, and amazing amount of sea life, all in a pretty laid back atmosphere. |
