The Maltese Islands lie just south of Sicily and are the perfect place to go especially after the masses have left. The islands are small and easily discovered by local bus, prices are not too expensive, and there is lots to see. Malta is not really the place to g for a beach vacation, but if you like history, architecture, sea grottos, snorkeling, and beautiful coastal scenery, then you will like Malta. In the coming days, I will be building some pages about this beautiful and interesting place.
Malta consists of three main islands. The main island is named malta, and has the majority of the population. Gozo is the smaller neigbor island with about 29,000 inhabitants, and Comino lies in between them. Comino is famous for its so-called "blue lagoon". |
