Beware of taxis! Taxis Review

Unfortunately, you can often get ripped off by the taxi drivers. Have your map with you, know where you are on the map and where you need to go on the map. Try to find out beforehand approximately how much you are going to have to pay, and then take a taxi if you must. Taxis are very expensive anyway, so I really recommend to use the buses, subways, and your feet. But if you must take a taxi, well, try not to get ripped off.

These public phones you see around Stockholm are so cool! I do imagine, however, that your legs might get quite cold in winter.

Most public phones do accept credit cards--but I DO NOT recommend using credit cards in the public phones, and the expensive prices get alot more expensive! You're better off buying a telephone card (Telefonkort) at a tobacco shop, newstands, or kiosk. It's still not cheap, but at least you won't waste money unnecessarily.

Who's "they"? The pickpockets! You wouldn't think they'd be here, but they are. Especially on the Vasterlanggatan and the Drottningsgatan, and at the changing of the guard, be careful with your valuables when shopping or taking pictures!
