Puerto Chacabuco Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 11 photos

Puerto Chacabuco is a very small town located in Chilean Patagonia. It is the main port for ships coming in to deliver supplies to the nearby towns of Puerto Aisen and Coyhaique, and some cruise ships also stop here. Only about 4,000 people are living in this small place, and it really is quite isolated. Honestly, the town itself has no sights at all, but if you are arriving here by ship, then you definitely have to do the drive from Puerto Chacabuco to Coyhaique. The scenery is truly spectacular--and wild--and it changes dramatically between the two places. Puerto Chacabuco sits on the shores of Aisen Fjord, which is very beautiful with snow and glaciers on top of the mountains.
