"Austria is a wonderful diverse place not to miss!" Austria by wadekorzan

I've been living in Austria since November 2005, and what a change from the last city in which I lived, Buenos Aires, Argentina. There are only about 8 million inhabitants here, compared to nearly 90 million in neighboring Germany. The country has alot to offer and it is all so easily accessible, I could write a book about it, but then again--there are already many books about it!

If you're looking for a quick overview, well, it is hard, but let me try:

What not to miss:
1. Vienna
2. Salzburg
3. Salzkammergut (the lakes and moutains area around Salzburg)
4. The Wachau Valley in the Danube region between Melk and Duernstein
5. Melk Abbey

Other wonderful places are Landskron Castle near Villach
