</a>in my eyes this site is one of the most important on the net, so far I have not found any other that would match it even nearly in objectivity and deepsightedness,
if you are sick and tired of the ubiquitous endless CNN-mantras go there to dive into the world of critical thinking.

I was sceptical about this when I first heard the name, thought it HAD to be biased, but in fact it may be one of the most objective news-sites on the net; looks at stories from a whole range of perspectives and gives lots of links for each of its reports;

<b>Al Jazeera will launch English Web site </b></center></a>

Al Jazeera, the Arabic satellite news channel, plans to launch an
English version of its Web site within a year. Following the Sept. 11
attacks on America, the site had an increase in page views from about
700,000 daily hits to 3 million. <p>

The Arabic site launched in January and is managed by Afkar Information
Technology, a Web-services firm in Doha, Qatar, where the television
station is also based. <p>

''More than 40% of [our visitors] are from the US,'' said
Aljazeera.net's Mahmood Abdulhadi. ''Recently we have received many
requests from our users all over the world asking for an English version
of the Web site...and we will be able to launch it within one year from
now.''<p>
