I didn't like Athens when I first arrived there by bus from Patras; the bus station really is in the worst part of the town. Later I got to know a different Athens, one that I could live with, though I never enjoyed staying there as much as I did for example in Barcelona. I was lucky to be there with the right people, so I had great fun, but otherwise I don't think I would count Athens among my favourite cities. Anyway I couldn't forget this city if I wanted to, it was the scene for the absolutely weirdest thing that ever happened to me, if you are interested go and read my <a href="http://www.virtualtourist. com/m/.171074/article/1128/15/?s=Q"><font size="3" color="#cc6600"><b>PAPADOPOULOS-TRAVELOGUE</b></font></a>, but don't expect to learn anything about the town, it's a rather personal experience; well in a way it will tell you something about Athens ... |
