The sad part is that I went here with my husband to meet one of our freinds' - & both the men are REALLY lazy!!!! I hardly got to see anything - only the Birla Mandir & the dam - both of which are mentioned here. The rest of the places I saw on my bus ride into the city from Bangalore. Hyderabad is the capital of the state Andhra Pradesh in South India. It is famous for a whole lot of things - the architecture, cuisine & of course the technology boom! Close to it (4km) is it's twin city - Secunderabad, which I found better to live in as it more peaceful.It was till very recently ruled by the nizams - many people think that Nizam means rulers but Nizam is the name of the family that ruled Hyderabad. They are responsible for the Hyderabadi culture....There is a map here that shows Hyderabad & Secunderabad seperated by the Hussain Sagar - the most beautiful artificial lake I have seen |
