Kuala Lumpur is a great city to visit if you have a short weekend & are interested in seeing the so called economic boom that hit Asia in the mid 1990's. The main attraction in the city is shopping (coming from Singapore - everything is cheap & I get to divide the price by half, since the Singapore Dollar is double the Malaysian Ringgit).
The city is easy to get around thanks to an abundance of taxis, a very efficient metro network & good roads. Language is not a problem since most people speak or atleast understand some amount of English.
Some places that you must see in KL are Petronas Towers (the tallest buildings in the world) & the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory. |
