<font size=+1>Crossed from Ethiopia with the truck and disembarked at the Mountain Rock Lodge in Nanyuki. Spent nearly a week in Nanyuki, very relaxed military town. We met some of the British Troops stationed out there and spent a lot of time at the Sportsmans Bar catching up on sports and pool.
From Nanyuki to Nairobi, a great place, we never had any hassles and wandered around the place quite freely. From Nairobi out to the Coast for a few days, two nights in Mombasa and two nights at Tiwi Beach before heading back to Nairobi.
The only touristy type thing I did was a safari to Maasai Mara which cost USD50.00 per day, it was very wet and the van we were in got stuck several times but we still managed to see four of the big five; we didn't see Rhinos.
There are a lot of really good bars and cheap eateries in Nairobi and in Mombasa the fish curries are superb. If you do decide to go to Tiwi I would advise taking your own food as the restaurant at Twiga Lodge had limited supplies and was very expensive.
Kenya would be the last stop in my African expedition, as finances dictated that I head for home and a job.</font>
