If you're not too fussy accomadation is cheap everywhere. We would look for a coke or beer sign and ask if they had rooms out back. Most are a combination of hotel/brothel/bar but you'll meet some interesting people, get reasonably priced food (apart from injera, which as far as i'm concerned is like eating carpet underlay).
Expect to pay anywhere between USD1 toUSD5 per room.

Unique Qualities: Be sure to take earplugs if you want to get some sleep, the loud music from the brothel/bar will probably keep you awake all night otherwise.
