Turkey

by kiwiwahine - last update: Sep 1, 2002

We had arrived in Turkey after crossing from Iran near Tabriz, the crossing took quite some time as there was a huge line of trucks waiting to cross the border ahead of us. But after obtaining clearance we piled aboard and set out for Dogubeyazit.

If this is a little confusing then its probably because you've joined me half way through a Dragoman Expedition, to get the full picture start at Nepal and head overland through my travelogues.
We had two trips to Turkiye, the first on route to Syria and beyond and then on my way back up I flew from Tel Aviv to Antalya meeting up with the Drago truck in Olu Deniz.
See my travelogues for further information and photos......Ange

Probably at Troya is not so much to see, but ... you can say 'I've been to TROYA!'... tell me you regret saying this!
