| Khyber Pass with Guard and AK47 |
Another day, another country. My first taste of Pakistan was some what bitter but I soon grew to love it; it is a country of vast beauty and a place I will return to. Unfortunately, not everyone in the Drago Truck felt this way, we had a couple of run ins with nutters, a near hospitalisation, some molestation and some VERY interesting conversations. If you're confused its probably because you haven't seen the whole picture, this is a continuation of a trip I started in Nepal. If you've read the Nepal and India pages and you're still confused then I can't help you. The lovely photo above is of myself and one of the guards at the checkpoint heading up the Khyber Pass, he kindly offered me his AK47 to hold while we had our photo taken........notice the well positioned trowels on the truck door behind us. Have a look at my travelogues to view more photos and tips on this part of my journey...........Ange |
