Prague was a magical city when I first lived there in 1993. However, the rampant commercialisation of the city by a huge tourist trade and a rush into Westernisation has given Prague a direction. Each year there is always a perceptive change that will probably continue until Vienna has a twin. I like Vienna but one is enough. You can find the old Prague but you need to get out of the centre and away from the tourist attractions. Try getting on a tram at random (have a good map, there won't be any problems in getting lost) and visit a local pub.
