If you are visiting IASI, I suggest you to go to the National Theatre called 'Vasile Alecsandri'. It is placed exactly in the 'heart' of my town and many famous Romanian actors performed on its stage in the last 100 years. It has a painted inside which looks incredible beautiful.

Directions: The theatre is another interesting monument of Iasi built 400 years ago. It worth to visit it.

If you have some time and want to visit a special place, go to 'Sonet Vila'. Here is the house where one of the famous Romanian poets lived: Mihail Codreanu. It is opened for tourists from 1970 and attracts many visitors every year.

You may see typical Romanian rooms decorated exactly as in the 18th century. Even the table is arranged exactly like then. It is a unique occasion to meet and 'taste' our history!

Directions: This museum is 10 minutes away from Union Place (walking by foot to the Medicine Institute of Iasi). But more easily is to ask anyone where is placed the old restaurant 'Bolta Rece' (Cold Vault).
