I always intended to see my own country first. Well, that has proven to be a challenge, because there is just so much of it to see. I remember flying out to Singapore once. The flight took us directly over the Simpson Desert in the center of Australia. I felt a real yearning to be down there, in the simple tranquility of the desert. So this pic, similar to thousands of little tracks in Australia, is symbolic of where I really like to be. These are the true colours of the heart of Australia.
