After a quick journey of 22 hours and more 10'000 miles/16'000 km... Sydney is here! After kindly asking my pilot of the SQ Boeing 777, he was pleased to flight around Sydney harbour only for my eyes... Sometime it's good to have window seat on the right side of the plane ;-)
Actually I visited Sydney 4 times and hope to visit again...
June 2000:
Before the Games, the City was an enourmous building site. But will Sydney ready for the Games?
September 2000:
A "brand new" Olympic City. It was the most amazing athmosphere that I experienced. I liked to walk around with my Swiss flag (Hop Switzerland!!!) and met many other fans from all around the world. Sydney 2000 was great and unforgettable!!!
September 2002:
The City was always so pleasant but more quiet than my Millenium trip.
October 2011:
Nothing has changed... or almost ;-)

Excellent Sydney tips. You're lucky, I was there about a month before the Olympics started, but I watched it as much as possible on TV. I cheered on the Swiss if they weren't competing against Cdn or Aussies!
