Tyrol offers enough room for Alpine pleasure. For my 1st stay I have explored the snowy slopes of some main ski resorts as Ischgl, Sölden, Serfaus or HochZeiger Piztal. Hope to discover more soon ;-)

I was impressed by the modern and high capacity cable cars, extensive snow making system and Après ski spots compared to my usual Swiss Alps skiing areas... Lack of snow coverage is not (yet) a problem and Tyrolian Alps offer you great slopes to enjoy your skiing days. So do not miss the opportunity to taste the local snow and... GO SKIING!!!

GREAT photos Patrick..its beautiful country isn't it...I'm not sure I like the look of the q for the lift at Ischgl...Looks too busy but so many kms of runs iti wouldn't feel so busy I suppose..Did you get onto the doubledecker at Saumnan maybe???

Skiing is a real adventure-that I have not mastered well and too late now. You took great pictures and comments are informative. One fond memory was staying here in the mountains back in 1981. The culture and scenery are splendid. Thank you

Patrick, fabulous overview of Tirol. In this region I only skiied a couple of times in Sölden on the Rettenbach Glacier. See you soon in Cascais, but not for skiing. ;-)
