Flowers in Peace park!
Make sure you bring a good set of walking shoes. There are many little nooks and small shops to explore in the city of Hiroshima.
Foutain in Peace Park
Since the dropping of the A bomb, Hiroshima has become heavily involved in promotion of peace and Hiroshima's Peace Park including the memorial museum, and the island of Miyajima just outside the city are among the most visited sites.

Other attractions in Hiroshima include Hiroshima Castle, the Kosan-ji temple and the A-Bomb Dome. There are also some excellent galleries and museums in Hiroshima, including the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Kozanji Temple Museum.
It's Saturday morning and I am off to meet up with the boys in Fukuoka.

Once we meet up, it's on to the bullet train! Fast as heck, were in Hiroshima, check into the hotel, see the park, the museum, the mall and the castle. Grab dinner a shower and then its off to the pubs and clubs! A fun filled night til 2 or 3?? It was so so so nice to get a morning to sleep in late!

Train tickets- $200.00
Hotel- $65
Dinner-$25
Drinks! Who remembers!

A night off the ship- Priceless!!!!

Excellent introduction to Hiroshima. For me, it was surreal walking around a place where so many people lost their lives or suffered so much due to a nuclear bomb. At the back of my mind, I was worried of residual radiation.
