Beaten by the sun from its great height,
The heat in his eyes produced a strange sight.
He saw a vision of beauty unlike any seen before.
It was just a mirage, though, and nothing more.
He knew it was only the sun playing tricks on his eyes
But his mind-with a mind of its own-would not realize.
He continued to see the mirage until the sun set

|  | Dubai is a interesting city to visit. The first time I visited Dubai was in 1991. At that time, there was very little tourism. Back then, you would drive one hour from Jebel Ali to Dubai and see nothing but camels in the desert.
I remember thinking "This city is so far behind the rest of the world."
Behind no more! Now, the 30 mile drive from Jebel Ali to Dubai is sky scrapers and shopping malls, golf courses and beach resorts. Dubai has stepped into being a leader in growth throughout the world.
