Nightlife Spot: Irish Murphy's
Irish Murphy's offers a traditional feel of an Irish pub and the music of local artists. They have different music six nights a week from Thursday to Tuesday.
If you staying in the Centre City area, this is a casual place to hang out and drink a few pints. They have a wide variety of brews and some decent pub meals as well.
Nice feel in a safe area.

Nightlife Spot: Brunswick Street
I happened to go to Brunswick mall looking for the Sunday afternoon market. The smell of stale beer and the night before still lingered in the air. Not a great place to shop, unless you need incense, pipes and 70's memorabilia. I wasn't there at night, however if peep shows and girlie Bars are your thing, the Brunswick street area is where you want to go. You get a backpacker laid back kind of crowd here.
The mall area has several pubs that serve food as well as close proximity (1 block) from China town. Sailors sometimes get bad reputations as always getting into trouble. However, I think if you’re going to find trouble in Brisbane, the Brunswick street area at night would be the place it would happen.
