´Slippery when wet´, that was definitely an appropriate theme for the times we spent in the area called Salzkammergut. (this area is not supported by VT, but it covers a part of the province Oberösterreich and a bit of Steiermark).
Usually this is not the case, but the time we where in the beautiful area was the exact time of all those water troubles of which have probably heard a lot through the news.
Streams were turned into wild raging rivers, rain kept pouring down and every little spot was, to say the least,... moist.
Despite this intimidating example of natural forces we had a wonderful time!!

Pros and Cons

Pros:The wonders of that green mountain nature, the peace, the activity possibilities
Cons:The rain (only at that time..., because usually it´s not worse than anywhere else)
In a nutshell:Pure, clear and relaxing: nature fun!

From underwater to above ice, this sounds like a place of extremes. The rodelbahn seems pretty scary, especially if you're wearing shorts :)
