The third northernmost county of Norway

A couple of years ago a main national newspaper voted Nordland the best Norwegian county to live in.

Nordland is a large and varied county in the North, stretching from the middle point of Norway in South to the border of Troms in the North, covering a total area of 38.456 km². This is 12 % of Norway's total land area. The size of inner territorial water is Norways largest. The region offers: 300 rivers, 18141 islands surrounded by salt water, 28000 lakes.
There's a great variety of landscapes and ways of living in this beautiful county, ranging from mountains to valleys, from inland to coastal communities, where fishery is still a main income.

Wish I could see Nordland for myself. I got as far North as Gyranger < wrong spelling in 1959 long before you were born, you beautiful young lady.
