The viking chieftain homestead of Borg

This quiet farming community in Vestvågøy, Lofoten Islands, suddenly became one of the most interesting places to trace viking history. A farmer's discoveries while ploughing, led to the revelation of a viking seat and what seems to have been the largest chieftains house in the Nordic countries. The house, which was measured to 83 metres, has now been reconstructed and is a fascinating place to visit.
