Wagah border

Some men decided to split the great nation in two the result the wagah border, why cant man learn to live together in peace without colour and religion getting in the way

BORDER control

the head officer of the Pakistani side let us go right up to the gates, you can see the Indian guard in Khaki on the Indian side with the Pakistani soliders in black, goods passed from a waggon was carried from a Pakistani porter (light clothes) to a Indian porter(blue clothes) instead of letting the waggon cross, labour is that cheap i suppose

All by hand

this photo shows the poor porters handing over goods to the Indian side they would then run back as fast as they could to get another bundle, you can just see the indian flag on the indian gate and the spectators viewing area which i am told is open for the closing ceremony at 430pm every evening, very lucky to get so close the Indian solider wasnt very happy about being snapped but whats he gonna do? come over the border and take my camera? i think not
