Egypt was a great trip. I loved every minute of it, even when I had to fight to get what I wanted (which is not an easy thing to do with an Egyptian...especially male).

Cairo was crowded, noisy and dirty but fabulous. The Nile extraordinary. The antiquities, especially the Valley of the Kings and Queens were breathtaking.

When you go, take a cruise..whether by dhow or cruise ship. To see Egypt you must travel on the Nile.

(A note about the picture above..it is from the tomb of one of the wives of Ramses. It was taken with permission and without use of a flash attachment)
