Viva Mexico!

by hprior - last update: Feb 1, 2001

Ok, ok, I know..it's another grave yard. But I love this picture because it says so much about the people of Mexico. They don't take death as some sad occasion.
It's not festive, but look at these Mayan graves from the Yucatan. Now, you have to admit it's a nicer way to be buried that what we do in the U.S.

I also love the Mexican's sense of color. They are the one culture that is not afraid of color. It is brilliant, vibrant, full of life. In fact my home is done in colors of Mexico and it's hard to be depressed.
That's why I love going to Mexico so much. The people are like the colors, they are vibrant and full of the gusto that most of us lack.

They love their children. In the parks of Mexcio City there are families having fiestas, playing games with the little ones. It's wonderful to see. Whenever I visit my friends there are always huge family get togethers. Everyone comes, from the youngest to the oldest. Familia! That is Mexico.
