Qianmen Street: Nice shopping area with great shops

Qianmen Street has always been a lively shopping area with souvenirshops as well as famous shops for tea, jewelery or clothes. But is was also crowded with cars and busses. Now it was changed into a pedestrian street with renovated houses alongside. Here you can find some of the most famous teashops, boutiques of Gucci or Zara. There are also some nice restaurants and teahouses.

Wangfujing Street: Wangfujing Wangfujing Street Review

Wangfujing Street is the central shopping street in Beijing. Here you find big departement stores, souvenir shops and shops for just everything. Part of it is a pedestrian area with kiosks and places, where you can sit and watch the people. Skulptures along the street enjoy the people.

Of course you can buy just everything in Beijing! I bought a jacket and trousers and nice cashmere pullovers on the Silk Market.. But for souvenir-shopping I like to go into a normal Beijing departement store. Chinese hotwater-bottles are great. When they tested hotwater bottles in Germany, the best one was one from China!!! Or a colorful cup. Just normal everydays things. Chopsticks for example! Don't buy them in the expensive souvenir-shops! Or buy a kite! They are just beautiful!!!
