Erosion

The front of many of the caves has been blown away by the wind. Here you can see, how former columns look after hundreds of years with heavy wind.

Colors

On some of the Buddha reliefs you can still see the original colors. As the former walls broke away today there are temples covering the painted reliefs to keep them save and the colors alive.

Buddha

The wall of the Wuzhon mountains is covered with about 50.000 Buddhas. There is also a monastery of the 17th century.
Inside of some of the caves there are not only reliefs but also very fine Buddhist wallpaintings. It is not allowed to take photos of them as the flashlight would destroy the colors.
